Roller Derby 101 (Formerly Known as Rec League)

Roller Derby 101 is a six-week program that offers adult skaters an introduction to the skating skills required to play roller derby. It is designed to provide those interested in skating with a comprehensive derby workout by building the strength & endurance necessary to play roller derby. Classes focus on safety, stops, skating form, endurance, skate maintenance, lateral movement, and the rules of WFTDA flat track roller derby. No prior skating experience is required.  Roller Derby 101 may be repeated as many times as needed or desired. Roller Derby 101 is offered multiple times per year.

Successful completion of this program leads into our second level of training, Roller Derby 201.

Roller Derby 201

Roller Derby 201 is for those steady on their skates, comfortable with quick stops, and are familiar with the game of Roller Derby. This is best for skaters with significant skating skills who are ready for more derby-contact style practices.
